I had knee surgery here. 10 years later and my knee is better than it was before. I like this Mercy Health and the people that work here. Thank you for fixing my knee.
Had to get a CT scan. The lady checking me in was mumbling behind a computer screen and I couldn't even see her face from where I was sitting. She called my name and when I came over she never greeted me. I just sat there, not being able to see her face, while she mumbled verifying my name and birthdate. I told her I had to go to the bathroom and she said I had to fill out this form. I said, "ok well can you hang onto it while I go to the bathroom and I will come back and grab it when I am done?" She said "well I will set it over here (the desk next to her) because I need to call the next person. When I came back, there was a lady cleaning that desk and she asked if she could help me. I was literally gone for 3 minutes, and I said "yes she said she would set the form I needed to fill out, here." She said oh I was wondering why that was there and she had put the clipboard away and the paper was on the counter, so she had to get the clip board back out and re attach the paper for me to fill out. I was called back by the radiology tech first. She was polite and told me it would be quick and I would be able to get my coffee and breakfast soon. She had me take out my earrings and put an IV in. She did offer me a warm blanket which was really warm, so that's why they get 3 stars. It didn't cover my feet though. She did the CT scan without contrast and I had to sit on the table awkwardly with the IV in my arm for 5 minutes while I got the first scan. There was no where to rest my arm and I had to hold it up parallel with my body and keep it strait. She then put the contrast in the IV. She never once asked me how I was doing. I felt like I couldn't breathe when it went in and was breathing rapidly and she didn't even seem to notice or care or ask just to make sure I was doing ok. When I was done, I had to lift myself up and felt a little dizzy and my head fell back and hit the edge of the thing I was resting on. The tech just sat there and watched me and never offered to help me up and when I got my head and then held it after hitting it, she never reacted to it, even though she was staring at me the entire time. When I was putting my shoes on, I said "I just hit my head on the head rest and she very mono tonly said "oh sorry about that." She opened the door and walked me down the hall to another door and opened it and pointed that I exit through the door ahead. She said, "ok have a good day." Never once smiled when she said it. The whole experience had me feeling uncomfortable. I forgot to mention the security guard when I walked in, he said, "can I help you with something?" Like I wasn't in the right place or something. He made me feel like I was doing something wrong by walking in there. I told him I needed radiology and he said oh yes down on your right. Which I could have easily found and saved two minutes if he didn't stop me at the door like a guard dog. He did smile and said "have a nice day ma'am when I left. So that was nice. Usually I don't write reviews so it says a lot for me to sit in my car typing this instead of just shaking it off and going home. But I felt I neeeded to share that it wasn't a very pleasant experience. I think they need to do a lot better with their training of how to treat people better. I would never come back here and will be using Spectrum Health from now on.
My daughter had some health issues and we saw Dr. Hollingsworth. I appreciated that he took her concerns seriously. We did not have to jump through a bunch of hoops and he was able to schedule a specialist to do a consultation and procedure (within a week) for the same day. He was very professional and courteous. I can always get through to schedule appointments with minutes.
Polite, friendly staff. Doctor Chad is very attentive and listened to what I had to say, took my concerns seriously. They also worked very hard to ensure I got an appt. Right away when I called and was experiencing back pain. Best doctors office I've had yet. :)
Only reason why I'm giving it two stars is because the physicians and nurses make everything move along quickly. Saw one doctor and all he did was try and bump up my meds without trying to find the problem. My primary care was always really hard to get into, therefore only have seen her twice. Show up a few minutes late due to traffic, stand in line for almost 10 minutes and then wait almost 5 minutes for the person checking me in to go ask if there will be enough time for the appointment, only for them to cancel it. Then the lady was extremely rude and treated me like a child. Sad part is, to them it's all about money. No calling in and asking a question, you have to come in for an appointment and pay them money. They're not easy to work with or accommodating at all. I will be transferring to a different doctor due to all these ongoing issues.
